Most tile saw blades are continuous rim except some segmented tile saw blades reserved for cutting granite and marble tiles not ceramic or porcelain. They have no individual segments, and rely on water to keep them cool during cutting. The deeper the diamond-encrusted rim, the higher the diamond content and the longer the diamond blade will last.
